Korsa (formerly YMTC) will be holding in-person auditions for our summer 2025 production of Oklahoma!. Auditions will take place on Wednesday December 4 and will include a song audition and a movement/dance audition.

Video auditions will be accepted if a student is not able to make it to the in-person date – please note, it is highly preferable for actors to audition in-person so the team can see them at the dance call.

Singing/acting auditions: Wednesday December 4, 4pm-9:30pm at the Live Oak Theater.
Video auditions due: Tuesday December 3 by 8pm
Callbacks: Saturday December 14 AND Sunday December 15, times TBA.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Singing/acting audition: Please perform a song/cut from a song from a Golden Age or classic musical, not to exceed 1 minute. Please bring sheet music in the correct key for you in a 3-ring binder.
Dance call: Please come dressed to dance. Auditioners will be pulled from the dance audition one at a time to do their song privately.

VIDEO AUDITION GUIDELINES
– Please record yourself performing 1 minute of a song from a Golden Age/classic musical AND 1 minute of you dancing (this can be recorded from a previous dance performance). Please upload it to YOUTUBE as an unlisted link and paste the link at the end of this form.

Video tips and tricks:
– Please “slate” at the beginning of your video (say your name and tell us what you will be performing).
– Please record using LANDSCAPE mode (horizontal) and do not film with a bright light directly behind you.
– The dance video and the singing/acting video do not have to be recorded at the same time, but please do edit them into 1 video file.
– **Please do your best to film yourself at eye-level and frame your full body so we can see your acting and movement as well as your singing. We are not looking for professionally-recorded videos, but please try to make sure you are in frame and audible so we can best assess your talent.**

CALLBACKS
Saturday December 14 AND Sunday December 15, location and exact times TBA. Callbacks will include reading/singing from the show and potentially an additional dance call. If you are called back, we will notify you after auditions. If you are not called back, this does not necessarily mean you were not cast, and we will contact you about our final casting decisions in the following weeks.

REHEARSAL/PERFORMANCE DATES and LOCATIONS
A *rough* rehearsal/performance schedule can be found here. Dates will be refined after casting.

CASTING PROCESS/TIMELINE:
– Students who are called back for specific roles will be notified 2-3 days after their audition, or after video submissions are due.
– Role offers will be sent out anywhere from 1-6 weeks after callbacks. After the cast is finalized, all students who auditioned will hear back from Korsa about whether or not they were cast. We ask that students and their families be patient in waiting for a casting announcement, and we promise we will let you know!

TUITION and TUITION ASSISTANCE
Korsa is a tuition-based training program. Tuition for Oklahoma! is $2,200. Tuition amounts are based on the amount of training hours offered with professional theater teaching artists – this production will offer more than 230 hours of training.
